Electronics Repair Technician

Teal Drones is looking for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to be responsible for hands-on repair and troubleshooting of drone assemblies. This role will comprise of working on the production line troubleshooting and repairing PCBA’s and conducting test processes. You will be collaborating with technical team leads, production supervisors, and engineers to continuously improve processes and products, and ensure all production activities are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner respecting our quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire proficiency in diverse assembly procedures for Teal products, encompassing a broad spectrum of subassemblies.
  • Perform manufacturing testing, and repair of PCBA’s within the manufacturing assembly process.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies to meet delivery schedules.
  • Assist with assembly and testing of electronic components, subassemblies, and systems.
  • Adhere to production guidelines and specifications diligently.
  • Perform setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, test instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Use test procedures, drawings, schematics and verbal/written instructions to test, repair, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
  • Log and provide root cause failure analysis data.
  • Maintain test fixturing, perform calibration and perform preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in the electronics technology field for a minimum of one year.
  • Associate degree in Electronics preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical topics verbally and in writing.
  • Evidence of capable analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to work with instruction from the engineer or manager.
  • Knowledge and use of soldering stations, and soldering techniques. IPC solder certification a plus
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to the component level.
  • Knowledge and experience using standard electronics test equipment such as oscilloscope, digital multimeter and spectrum analyzers used in manufacturing and repair.
  • Experience with RF/wireless systems and lab measurements is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for operating equipment and performing assembly tasks.
  • Visual acuity for conducting quality inspections on small components.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial elements.
